Our display began in 2006 when my wife, Katie Macrina, and I wanted to celebrate our son's first Christmas. The display had nearly 12,000 Christmas Lights. In 2008, we added a 12 foot Mega tree dubbed "Molly's Mega Tree" to celebrate our daughter's first Christmas. The Mega tree featured over 15,000 Christmas lights and was surrounded by 28 mini trees each covered with over 200 Christmas Lights.
As a child my parents took me to Christmas Village in Bernville, PA. Ever since then I have been fascinated by Christmas lights. In 2005, while watching a tv show about outrageous Christmas displays I was inspired to create a display of my own. My interest in computers and electronics, along with my family's love of Christmas, were also big motivators for building the display. Over the last few years, the number of homes decorated on Sunset Road in West Reading has grown. My dream is to live on a street where every house has at least a few strings of Christmas Lights on it. Our mission is to provide free family entertainment during the holidays.
