Christmas on Sunset is an annual Christmas light display located at 309 Sunset Road, West Reading, PA 19611. The display features over 27,000 lights syncronized to music that can be heard from outdoor speakers or from your car by tuning to 88.3 FM. The
light display runs Sunday - Thursday from 5:00pm - 9:30pm and Friday - Saturday from 5:00pm - 10:30pm from the day after Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve.
The display was started in 2006 by Tim and Katie Macrina to celebrate their son's
first Christmas. Tim was inspired to create the display while watching a TV show
about outragous Christmas displays. Tim's interest in computers and electronics
along with the family's lifelong love of Christmas was also a big reason for creating
the display. This year a mega tree with over 15,000 lights was added to celebrate the
birth of Tim and Katie's daughter.
The Macrina's are expanding their spirit of the season by collecting donations for charity. Donations,
can be placed in the red donation box located at the front of the display. The funds that are
collected will be distributed to local families in need.
